# Start with a Land

In oder to join Plant Crossing and start to have fun with others, players need at least one Land. **Players can get a free Land (C-level, non-NFT) once landing on the game**. They can also get NFT-based Lands with higher rarity from purchasing in the marketplace (in-app marketplace & marketplace of eco-partners), minting in NFT sales, and participating in Free Mint & Airdrop events. **The Genesis Land Blind Box Sales will be launched in Open Alpha.** 

Plant Crossing is a world that connects reality to virtual. **Each Land will map to an existing location on Earth given longitude & latitude** to enable more interesting gameplay in the future.
