# Tokenomics

**$COIN, in-app Currency**

Plant Crossing App has a utility currency called $COIN which cannot be traded outside the App. Users earn $COIN in the game through daily walking, or convert directly from the platform token $AVA at certain rates. This currency will mainly serve as in-app consumptions such as purchasing items, cost of upgrading botans and etc.

**$AVA, the Omnichain Utility Token**

The $AVA token is the only platform utility token of the Plant Crossing as well as Avalon project. In the Alpha Stage, it is designed to be not transferrable, which can only interact inside Avalon ecosystem with whitelisted smart contracts.

During the Alpha stage, activities like purchase and consumption of $AVA will be considered as important factors for token airdrop event during Open Beta Stage (e.g. all remaining $AVA token during Alpha Stage will be airdropped with certain ratio e.g. 1:1, the more Botans with higher level with higher rarity will get additional bonus as well). More details will be announced later.
